Ekkehard Windrich
Ekkehard Windrich (DE) began studying violin at the Berlin conservatory Hochschule fur Musik Hanns Eisler, graduating from the Hochschule fur Musik C.M. v. Weber, Dresden. Windrich decided to specialise in contemporary music, and, inspired by Detroit Techno, attended supplementary courses at the Studio fur Elektronische Musik Dresden. In 2001, he became a member of the Kammerensemble Neue Musik Berlin (KNM). His work as a soloist and chamber musician embraces the realisation of fixed scores and improvised live-electronic and experimental performances.

Doors open at 19:30 A limited number of tickets will be available at the door. At the closing concert at the Vondelkerk we enter a world of serene sound. Violinist Ekkehard Windrich performs Gabriel Paiuk’s Greifen through a specially designed multiple loudspeaker set-up. Tonaliens create a mesmerising melodic, harmonic and rhythmic mesh of sound using only intonation, microtonal improvisations and subtle drones.
