Sonic Acts Festival is doing well: in recent years, we saw the size of our programme and attendance figures grow steadily. To continue to offer programmes of superb quality, we invest heavily in talent and research. Since 2010 we have been able to commission new works from artists and researchers, and we continually expand our archive, which contains a wealth of information. We always ask speakers and artists to present a contribution that is tailored to our festival, and to spend plenty of time and attention to the theme and to exchanging, encountering and cooperating. The festival tackles themes that are essential to the way we look at the world and how we coexist: themes that demand our immediate attention. The festivals and events that we organise exemplify unadulterated quality. Visitors regularly tell us that Sonic Acts consistently operates at the forefront of developments in art, and our programming is always carefully and critically compiled. But even though we are growing, we are still a small organisation that tries to make the most of its limited resources. We are devoting more of our resources to commissioned works, organising master classes for students and young artists, and special projects such as Vertical Cinema or the recent journey to the Barents region for our 2015 festival on the Anthropocene. However, we have barely enough money to achieve these goals. A festival like Sonic Acts cannot happen without help, which is why we gladly welcome any additional financial support. If you would like to make a gift or a bequest, please do so for the benefit of Stichting Sonic Acts, IBAN: NL31RABO0115136169 (SWIFT/BIC: RABONL2U). Our foundation has ANBI status, which means your donations are not only tax deductible but they are also allocated to a fund especially for our special projects. Your contribution will only be used to continue expanding our festival and our aim to organise critical, significant and in-depth programmes and events. For more information about the fiscal benefits of ANBI, see belastingdienst.nl/giften.
