Danish artist and composer SØS Gunver Ryberg is known for her multichannel performances, dance and performance art, installations and video game productions. No stranger to performing live she has appeared at Atonal, Tresor, Boiler Room, and many more. For her recent EP AFTRYK, released on producer Samuel Kerridge’s label Contort, she processed her own field recordings made inside a mountain on Svalbard, an archipelago in the Arctic Ocean. AFTRYK conjures transformative power from insistent rhythms and her meticulous exploration of textures and timbres.
