SHALT

The work of UK-born, Switzerland-based producer SHALT can be viewed in the contexts of dance music and conceptual art, combining the sheer physicality of the club environment with concepts such as space colonisation, resource extraction and artificial life extension. His most recent EP Acheron was inspired by Kim Stanley Robinson’s Mars Trilogy and fits in the realm between dance and noise music, utilising blasts of raw noise, unconventional rhythms and flitting, yet beatific melodies.
