Joris Strijbos
Rotterdam-based Joris Strijbos focuses on the interaction between moving image and sound, with a special interest in synesthetic experiences. His recent kinetic audiovisual installations and media art performances are designed to create multi-sensorial compositions. Strijbos gets his ideas from his ongoing research in the fields of cybernetics, emergence, artificial life and the communication of networked groups. He studied ArtScience at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague where he earned his Bachelor’s degree and received his Master’s from the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. His work has been widely shown at festivals such as Ars Electronica in Linz, DEAF Biennale Rotterdam, WRO Media Art Biennale in Wrocław; and at galleries and museums, including Woodstreet Galleries Pittsburgh, and the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam. www.jorisstrijbos.nl
Joris Strijbos: IsoScope

This new work by Dutch artist Joris Strijbos consists of multiple robotic wind objects interacting with each other and with their surroundings.
