Sonic Acts stands in solidarity with Palestine
Sonic Acts stands in solidarity with Palestine and condemns the crimes against humanity committed by the State of Israel. As an arts organisation presenting programmes that stand against the colonial exploitation of people and resources, we feel the need to make explicitly clear our support for those resisting decades of Israeli settler-colonial occupation in Palestine, including the dispossession from land and life, ethnic cleansing and ecological devastation. We endorse the statement first published and disseminated by the Graduate Gender Programme & Netherlands Research School of Gender Studies Utrecht University, and encourage other cultural organisations to join in this solidarity campaign. Organisations and associations willing to endorse the statement can send an email to: firstname.lastname@example.org On Saturday 22 May, Sonic Acts will be continuing its Night Air series of online transmissions with a panel that brings together ongoing stories of people’s resistance to subjugation and forced displacement. All proceeds from the event will be donated to Think About Others, a non-profit association providing aid in Gaza.
