Philip Vermeulen’s More Moiré² nominated for the NFF Gouden Kalf award

Philip Vermeulen’s More Moiré² has been nominated for the prestigious Gouden Kalf award by the Nederlands Film Festival. The immersive installation, which is co-commissioned by Sonic Acts and premiered at Sonic Acts Academy 2020, creates an overwhelming cinematic experience in a panoramic Ganzfeld environment as landscapes of light, sound and moving moiré patterns play with human perception. More Moiré² is one of eight Virtual Reality experiences, installations and multimedia productions selected for the award, and can be seen and experienced at the NFF Interactive Expo during the festival from 25 September. Check out our recap video of the world premiere of the work below.
