Hotel Pechenga Zapolyarny
- Only for journey participants - From 1970 till 1992 a large team of geologists conducted research at the Kola Superdeep near Zapolyarny. Once the world’s deepest borehole, it penetrated one third of the Earth’s crust, reaching a depth of over 12 kilometres – a record until 2008. An informal illustrated talk elucidates some aspects of the Kola Superdeep, which is now the stuff of legend.
