Sonic Acts is running a public facing, online publication from 21–23 February 2020. Participants will have the opportunity to interview artists, musicians and speakers participating in the event, and be guided in producing strong critical writing on art, music and culture. The weekend will begin with an intensive session that examines what good writing is, with exercises that will help you to become more confident about your writing and prompt you to think about how critical writing differs from other writing styles. Every participant will write a number of short pieces during the festival, including essays, histories and interviews, which will test the participants’ writing skills and form a basis for one-on-one feedback.
