Wartone (UK/Netherlands) is a Manchester-born DJ and regular feature of Amsterdam’s underground club scene. Examining ideas and theories across different media Wartone’s practice spans various formats, including sound and text, and simultaneously explores the corporeal and cerebral. Wartone has presented a series of DIY parties as well as curating NTS Radio’s Unthinkable show together with J.G. Biberkopf. Wartone’s music has been featured on Wasabi Tapes, Tropical Waste, YYAA Recordings, and NODE, with a recent video released by the art space M.I/mi1glissé.
