Ane Hjort Guttu


An artist and curator. She investigates the responsibility of the artist and the possibilities and limitations of political art. She obtained a PhD in Artistic Research from the Oslo Academy of the Arts.

Anni Nöps


An artist and genre fluid DJ. Her sonic palette comprises hard-hitting percussion, floating melodies, and tactile noise, forming dense and abrasive soundscapes.

Ase Manual


Best known for his soul-driven, fresh take on east-coast club music. He draws on a wealth of dance music styles from Jersey club to house.

Benjamin Duboc


A double-bass player, improviser, and electroacoustic music composer. His playing has been known for its remarkable expressiveness and telluric quality. 

Birgit Bachler


A media artist, designer, and researcher based in Wellington. She is a Lecturer in Creative Technologies and a PhD student in the More than Human Lab at Victoria University of Wellington.

Born in Flamez


An electronic music artist who shirks notions of identity. They subvert gender and genre with panoply of influences somewhere in the nether regions between noise, shoegaze, and club not club electronics.

Catherine Christer Hennix


A composer, philosopher, mathematician, and visual artist. All her major compositions are a part of an ongoing, endless cycle.

Charmaine Chua


An Assistant Professor of Politics at Oberlin College. She focuses on the politics of global circulation: how things move, who moves them, and why systems that are supposed to provision life actually distribute inequality and death.

Christina Kubisch


A pioneer of sound art installation. In 2003, she began an ongoing project Electrical Walks with specially made headphones that receive electromagnetic signals from the environment and convert them into sound.

Cocky Eek


An artist and core teacher at the ArtScience Interfaculty at KABK since 2009. Her work considers synesthetic spatial compositions in relation to the human body.

Daniel Mann


A filmmaker and writer, currently completing his PhD thesis at Goldsmiths on image warfare and the integration of habitual media into armed conflict.

Dinamarca


A Chilean-born producer and DJ. His Latin and Caribbean infused club music has helped usher a new era in underground club culture; mixing trance, reggaeton, kuduro, and gabber, with a touch of both nostalgia and futurism.

DJ Haram


A DJ, producer, zine writer, and a post-art post activist. While preferring Philly and Jersey club sounds, she also pays homage to her roots in traditional Middle Eastern dance music, DIY noise, and experimental sound.

DJ Lycox


A DJ and producer, member of Tia Maria Produções. He promotes his own brand of Batida music, utilising tarraxo rhythms, fusing Afro-house with trap music and deep house influences.

Dreamcrusher


Born on the internet. One of around twenty projects created by black, trans, and queergender artist Luwayne Glass for online platforms.

Drippin


A young beatmaker with a flair for unique takes on club music. Drawing inspiration from hip-hop, kuduro, grime, and dancehall, he produces duly icy ‘riddims’, flexing his chops across a spectrum of tempos.

Filipa César


An artist and filmmaker interested in boundaries between moving image and its reception, fictional dimensions of the documentary, and politics inherent to cinema praxis.

Geng


Promotes electronic club music that sounds as if taken from dystopian nightmares and heads the Purple Tape Pedigree collective/label based in NYC.

Hilary Jeffery


A trombonist and composer. For over twenty years he plays different styles of music, including rock, techno, electronica, jazz, pop, afrobeat, noise, contemporary classical, and free improvisation.

Iris de Vries


A critical and concept designer. She graduated in Product Design at ArtEZ and specialised in digital modelling.

Ivan Slipčević


Works with film, video, sound and electronic music, and teaches at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb. A member of the net.culture club MaMa in Zagreb since 2000.

J.G. Biberkopf


His music is in a paradoxical relationship between club and art. He works with aural signifiers, taking sounds that are eminent in certain collective consciousness, and noises that work as signs memes.

Jelena Viskovic


An artist and designer. Her work combines speculative design methods with game development strategies. She recently co-founded/created Patternist, a mixed reality game that creates new models of economic exchange.

Jennifer Lucy Allan


A writer, researcher, curator, and label head, completing her PhD at CRiSAP on the social and cultural history of the foghorn. She has worked as an online editor for the Wire and runs the vinyl reissues label Arc Light Editions.

Jennifer Walshe


In addition to her activities as a composer, she frequently performs as a vocalist, specialising in extended techniques. She holds a PhD in Composition from Northwestern University.

Juha


The founder and a resident DJ of Progress Bar. His style is informed by collaborations with artists operating at the intersection of visual arts, moving image, and video games resulting in vivid, visceral ultra HD dance music.

Karl Klomp


A Dutch media artist and video designer. He works for live events, theater, and opera and is responsible for video design for Progress Bar nights in the Tolhuistuin.

Kei Kreutler


A researcher, designer, and developer. She is interested in how cultural narratives of technologies shape its use. In 2017, at Strelka Institute for Media, Architecture, and Design, she co-developed Patternist.

Kilbourne


Her sets draw connections between hard dance, bubbling, club music, trance, and the cinematic while continuing to push a politically informed understanding of dance music.

Linn da Quebrada


A Brazilian multimedia artist who uses music as a medium to fight for the breakdown of sexual, gender and body paradigms.

Lorenzo Pezzani


An architect, researcher, and Lecturer at Goldsmiths, where he leads the MA studio in Forensic Architecture. Since 2011, he has been working on Forensic Oceanography.

Lyzza


A promising young DJ and producer currently on the rise and based in Amsterdam. She combines her Brazilian roots with a taste of bass-heavy club music.

M.E.S.H.


A co-resident of Berlin club night Janus. He has been active in bringing fragmented rhythms to the dance floor, and building oblique, theatrical sound-stages.

Marcus Boon


A writer, journalist, and Professor of English at York University in Toronto. He writes about sound cultures for the Wire, Boing Boing, and others.

Marcus Pal


A sound artist and tuning theorist based in Stockholm. His theoretical work focuses on the mental construction of harmonic sound, or what may be called harmonic auditory cognition.

Marija Bozinovska Jones


An artist exploring social, computational, and living architectures. Her work addresses the formation of identity in an era of techno-capitalist amplification and perpetual online presence.

Mario de Vega


An artist known for his site-specific interventions, sculptures, sound improvisations, and experimental publications. He is interested in the limits of aural perception and the transposition of frequencies into audible sounds.

Martijn van Boven


A visual artist working with experimental films and computer-generated art. He is a head of Interaction Design at the ArtEZ Institute since 2012.

Michelle van Ool


Graduated in Interaction Design at ArtEZ. By making use of various media, such as film, photography, and self-made machines, she researches the consequences of information mediation.

Mijke Pasmans


Graduated in Product Design at ArtEZ Institute of the Arts in 2016. She is interested in materialisation, functionality, and visual aesthetics, and fascinated with the invisible, intangible, and inefficient.

Miron Galić


A designer, student, and a human being. He studied at ArtEZ Institute of the Arts in Arnhem.

Moor Mother


An experimental music project by a musician, poet, and community activist Camae Ayewa. One half of the Black Quantum Futurism Collective. An Afrofuturist reformulating concepts of memory, history, and the future.

Nicole Hewitt


A visual artist working in film, video, installation, and performance. Her work concerns memory, history, and narrative as mediated through technologies of representation and preservation.

Nora Sternfeld


An educator and curator. She is a documenta Professor at the Kunsthochschule Kassel and a Professor of Curating and Mediating Art at Aalto University in Helsinki.

PARADISE


A producer whose music illustrates something between a Ferrari F12 set on fire in the middle of Knightsbridge and an Edgar Degas portrait of Koosh.

Renowned for their hi-tech immersive AV shows, their extensive catalogue spans the outer edges of techno, hip hop, ambient, club music, grime, pop, and industrial.

Rana Hamadeh


A visual and performance artist. The recipient of the 2017 Prix de Rome for Visual Arts. She develops discursive projects that think through the infrastructures of justice, militarism, histories of sanitation, and theatre.

Renske Maria van Dam


An architect and a creative researcher. Her participatory and performative interventions emerge from long-term anthropological and sensuous fieldwork.

Rick Dolphijn


A writer and philosopher focusing on continental philosophy, contemporary art, and cultural theory. He teaches at Utrecht University and holds an Honorary Associate Professorship at Hong Kong University.

Roc Jiménez de Cisneros


An artist exploring the aesthetics of algorithmic composition and deconstruction of the rave culture. He has been part of the computer music group EVOL since 1996.

Rozemarie Heggen


A double bass player and an energy therapist and sound healer. She has developed a unique approach to using sound as a catalyst for healing and the growth of consciousness.

Sam Rolfes


A mixed-format digital artist and director responsible for the visual identity of Progress Bar S03. He crafts diffusive psychosexual worlds that sublimate space and identity.

Sasha Litvintseva


An artist, filmmaker, curator, and researcher currently working on a PhD proposing the concept of geological filmmaking at Goldsmiths.

Signe Lidén


An artist examining human-made landscapes and their resonance in memory, through narratives and matter, as ideological manifestations and political territories.

Solveig Suess


A designer, researcher, and filmmaker. She co-runs 流泥 (Concrete Flux) with Sophie Dyer, an experimental documentary platform. In 2017, she completed her first film, AAA Cargo.

Stanimir Panayotov


A PhD candidate in Comparative Gender Studies at the Central European University in Budapest interested in continental and feminist philosophy, non-philosophy, and Neoplatonism.

Susan Schuppli


An artist and researcher examining material evidence from war and conflict to environmental disasters. She is a Senior Lecturer and Deputy Director of the Centre for Research Architecture at Goldsmiths.

Swan Meat


A poet, producer, audio engineer, and DJ from Washington, D.C. She pairs spoken word with jarring industrial electronic compositions.

Victor Mazón Gardoqui


Explores amplification, electromagnetic phenomena, and perception by using locative audio techniques and custom electronics.

Vida Guzmić


An artist, curator, and visiting tutor at the Department of Animated Film and New Media, Academy of Fine Arts, Zagreb.

Violence


Composes, performs, and produces music known for its complexity. Their debut album, A Ruse of Power, explores themes of race, gender, ethics, and religion and was released by NON Worldwide.

Wartone


Manchester-born DJ and regular feature of Amsterdam’s underground club scene. He has presented a series of DIY parties as well as curating NTS Radio’s Unthinkable show together with J.G. Biberkopf.

Yun Ingrid Lee


An artist, composer, and performer interested in failure, hybridity, and collective sensing. Yun’s work investigates histories and power relations in acoustic phenomena and different media technologies.
