Toxe (FKA and born Tove Agelli) began producing at the age of 15 and even though she has yet to finish high school, has already earned a reputation for her earworm melodies and blasts of raw, percussive dancefloor energy. Toxe has garnered great acclaim for her drum programming and overall sound design. Hailing from Gothenburg, she presents a rougher side of Stockholm-based label Staycore, drawing influence as much from the icy sonics of Jam City’s Classical Curves as from the dissolving atmospherics of noise and ambient music.
Sonic Acts at Paradiso
This monumental Saturday night starts off with immersive audiovisual performances. Featuring over 20 DJs and live performances, the programme begins in the evening and continues until the early hours, presenting everything from experimental film to bass-heavy dance sets by international DJs and producers from acclaimed collectives such as Berlin’s Janus. This evening is a collaboration with Viral Radio.
