Robert Curgenven (AU) is a composer and sound artist who draws inspiration from the physicality of sound – not just its physical impact on the body, but also the way in which it can shape our perceptions of space and the flow of time, through combining pipe organs and feedback, immersive resonances from turntables and custom-made vinyl, as well as carefully detailed field recordings from remote areas in Australia. In the last ten years Curgenven has released work on labels such as LINE, The Tapeworm, Winds Measure, and his own Recorded Fields Editions. Curgenven has performed extensively in Australia and Europe.
